Wes Neighbors was born in Huntsville and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1982. During his senior year at Huntsville High, he was named a High School All American and the City Football MVP and the State Football MVP. Wes signed a football scholarship with the University of Alabama and in the 1983 Sun Bowl was named the Most Valuable Player. This inductee earned All American Honors as a sophomore and was named to the All American Second team in both his junior and senior years. Wes was named to the All SEC Team in his last two years at Alabama and was voted the Jacobs Blocking Award his senior year. He attributes his successes to his mother and father and says, They are every reason I am honored by the Hall of Fame tonight. Wes is a Financial Consultant and resides with his wife and children in Huntsville.
