Played football, basketball, baseball and tennis at Western Military Academy in Alton, Illinois., and played tennis at Vanderbilt...widely recognized as one of the city of Huntsvilles most ardent sports personalities...was team doctor for Butler High School from 1951-65...team doctor for Huntsville High from 1966 until the present...has also served as team doctor for several junior high teams and for the Huntsville Stars professional team...his portrait hangs alongside those of Milton Frank and Bob Warden in the Huntsville High gymnasium.
