Born in 1937 in Huntsville..attended Fifth Avenue, East Clinton, Huntsville Junior High and Huntsville High...lettered in football, baseball, basketball at Huntsville High (1952-55)...captain of all three teams...only four-year basketball letterman in HHS history...All-TVC in basketball in 1954-55 and all-district the same years... as a football fullback, had scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Florida State, chose to go to Auburn on a basketball scholarship...led the undefeated Auburn freshmen in scoring...during his junior and senior years, the Auburn basketball team won 30 straight under Coach Joel Eaves...team was 20-2 in 1958-59 ranked No. 8 nationally...now a real estate developer in Huntsville.
