Born in 1932 in Madison, Alabama... three year letterman in basketball at Huntsville High...All-district in 1949 and played in the state tournament.. lettered in baseball and competed in track...honor student at the University of Alabama...played on Alabamas highly ranked tennis team, competed In track and played on the basketball team from 1950-54...a 6-foot-3 forward, he was two-year starter in basketball and captain of the 1953-54 team, Coach Johnny Dees first team at the Capstone... operator of a chain of dry cleaners in Decatur, Huntsville and Cullman for over 25 years...self-employed since 1962...a member of the three-man municipal Utility Board for the past 15 years in Decatur.
