All-State at A.H.S....in college he was honorable mention, All-SEC on the sophomore selection...Played Pro Football in the NFL with Brooklyn and Chicago Cardinals.. he played with and against some of the greatest... Bulldog Turner, Don Hutson, Sam Braugh, Frank Sinkwich, Sid Luckman, and George Cafego... Stewart played 60 minutes against the Bears with the assignment to play man to man defense against the great Bronko Nagurski 'No matter where he goes!' Vaughn played on the 1941 Crimson Tide National Champs and is the smallest center to ever play at Bama..(165lbs)
