About Inductee

Charles Chisam was born in Madison County and was graduated from Rison High School in 1951. While at Rison in 1949, he won the J.D. Carrot Athlete of the Year Award. Charles attributes many of his successes to his wife, Helen, as well as his policy of treating everyone, as he would like to be treated. This inductee is retired and is presently serving as Secretary of the Huntsville Bowling Association. Charles was inducted into the Alabama State Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1984. In 1989 and 1990 respectively he was inducted into the Southern Bowling Congress Hall of Fame and the Huntsville Bowling Association Hall of Fame. In 1995 Charles was honored as the Senior Bowler of the Year in the City of Huntsville.
