Bobby Davis was an outstanding football player first at Huntsville High School and Later at Auburn University. Bobby starred as an All-State and All-American center and linebacker for the undefeated and untied 1969 Huntsville High School football team. He also played in the 1970 High School All-Star game held that year in Tuscaloosa. Bobby signed a football scholarship to play at Auburn University under the legendary Shug Jordan. He earned a starting spot at linebacker half way through his junior year and remained in the starting line up until he graduated. During his senior year at Auburn, Bobby won the Cliff Hare Award as the outstanding senior student athlete in all sports. To complement his athletic achievement, Bobby was also named to the Academic All-S.E.C. and Academic All-American teams following his senior year.
